Lydia Nicholas is a Senior Researcher at Nesta, the UK’s Innovation Foundation. Her work centres on health, data, and culture, often exploring how information is shared and used to transform healthcare. She explored how people with health problems share knowledge in Collective Intelligence in Patient Organisations, and how institutions and grassroots movements can work together to transform healthcare in Health as Social Movement. She has also explored the ethics and regulation of Machine Learning in government and public services, and has worked with the Wellcome Trust and Ipsos Mori, the BBC, the Science Museum and the UK’s Cabinet Office.
